Wears Valley has many coves and glades that offer the true Smoky Mountain atmosphere and experience. Being at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and with much less development compared to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, visitors often look for vacation cabins in this part of East Tennessee to better genuinely escape the noise and traffic of the busier cities in Sevier County.
And when they do, they go to Summit Cabin Rentals for their cabin rental needs.
Simply put, Summit Cabin Rentals has everything for every taste. Whether you’re bringing your sweetheart for a romantic occasion or just a getaway, an entire family reunion or anything in between, there is a cabin in the gated community of Shagbark near Waldens Creek with Summit’s name on it waiting for you! All the modern amenities you expect and nothing less. If you enjoy the attractions in the area too, Summit Cabins has a program with discount tickets and seasonal specials that let you enjoy them easier as well!
Put Summit Cabin Rentals high on your list for vacation providers when you come to the Smokies!

For the longest time, on the road through Wears Valley, there was a little structure on the side of the road overlooking the waterfalls that used to be one thing or another and then just sat empty for years and years.
Then one day, the owners of the highly popular McClaren’s in Sevierville bought the odd property and turned it into their next big hit with locals and visitors alike by turning it into Friendly Falls – a little roadside cafe where people can stop for a bite, burger or beer, settle into a comfortable and pleasantly offbeat atmosphere and just enjoy being alive for a while. All sorts of fun things appropriate for a snack or full meal are served at reasonable prices. Some nights we have entertainments playing as well.

My wife and I spotted here on our way back from Cades Cove and ate glad we did! The owners were super friendly and the view of the waterfalls was amazing! We got a burger and wins and some Orange Shandy beer (hard to come by in NJ). The food was good. They also had locally made crafts and other items. Would recommend stopping here for a bite to eat and to relax between shopping and looking for bears! Really beats the crazy restaurants in Pigeon Forge.
“SO WORTH THE STOP!!!!”

We could tell the first time we drove by this place that we wanted to stop-in and see what it was all about. It has a unique and quirky feel even from the road. We weren’t sure at all what to expect but we are SO glad we stopped in! The view is fantastic and all the dining is outside on the deck overlooking the waterfall but there are space heaters all around to keep you warm. I honestly wasn’t expecting much out of the food because it seemed like the real attraction was the view and eclectic vibe but I was very pleasantly surprised!! I had the fresh, local rainbow trout and it was outstanding. My husband had the jalapeno wrapped in chicken wrapped in bacon fried and tossed in buffalo sauce which was crazy good.
